The REAL Meaning of Hexmas

The DP Staff

Greetings, new students of Hogwarts! I hope all of you got exactly what you wanted for the holiday season and are ready for a brand new year. We are so happy to have you here with us and hope you stay around for a long time. Sometimes it's hard being the new kid on the block, though, and that's why we are here to help!

One thing we all had in common is this - When we first joined Hogwarts Extreme, or Hex, as it is more commonly known, we were all probably pretty confused as to what to do on the site and where to get started. Some of us found Hex by accident and some of us heard about it through a friend, but we were all pretty overwhelmed by the sheer size of the site in the beginning. It's a normal thing, don't let it daunt you, because this truly is an amazing site. We really do have everything any Harry Potter fan could possibly imagine. Hex has everything the other sites have and so much more, but it can be imposing at first. Many newbies are unsure where to start, and that's only natural.

Well, the best place to get started is the Welcome Center! Here you will find answers to many of the questions you are undoubtedly dying to ask. There is information on classes and how to sign up for them, the lowdown on joke items and what to do with them along with cures in case you happen to get hit, a guide to clubs, ways to earn money here on Hex, a brief introduction to dorms and some really good suggestions about pets. There is also a basic guide to the many forums on Hex along with a chance to claim a great newbie pack filled with surprises. Additionally, there is information on where to find your school supplies which you will need for your classes along with plenty of other invaluable stuff. I definitely recommend the Welcome Center to all newbies as the very first forum you should visit when you join.

I hope you find this forum to be useful and that you stay around for years and years!
