Are you a poor Harry Potter fan? I am, and like most people my age I'm not getting any money soon. So, this very sad college student who only has $10 to live on for the rest of the month was highly upset because she would not be able to purchase Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 on DVD when it arrived here in the United States on 11/11/11 (I wished for the new Potter movie! – Dang didn't work).

Some of you all might think, “Oh that's okay; just buy it when you have enough money.” Well the sad thing is I work at my University getting $28 a month (I know right? I'm pulling in the big cash!) Well the problem is, when you have a bill every month that's $26, you only have $2 left! And not to mention Christmas break means I will only be working one week in December.

So once again, me, this girl right will, will be poor and unable to get the DVD. You have it off and say “Oh just wait for Christmas.” But alas I am not receiving any gifts this year for the simple fact that my parents bought me a new car in October (well not new, but the newest we've ever owned – a 2002 Ford Escort).

As of now it looks like I will not have any money; this month, nor next month, nor the month after, and definitely not any in February, because that is when I start student teaching and will be unable to work (my school tells us not to hold jobs while we student teach).

I can hear the protests now, “Just wait until school is over, and then get it!” That sounds really reasonable to me, except for the fact that I still will be unable to purchase it then as well.

“Why?” you ask. Well Warner Brothers has decided that all of the Harry Potter DVDs and Blu-Rays will be pulled from the shelf and stored in the “Vault.” This is a very common practice for Disney, but this will be the first time Warner Brothers has tried this.

Don't get me wrong, I believe this is a great idea, it will help the movies to sell more copies later on in the future; the thing I find bad about this idea is the date that in which they are taking the movies off the shelf.

All Harry Potter DVDs and Blu-Rays will be pulled from the shelves on December 29, 2011 – just over a month form the initial release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 on video. Though there is one thing I am happy about; they do seem to be opening the vault fairly soon (but it will be closed again). Sometime next year they plan to release a full box collection of the DVDs/Blu-rays – which I would LOVE to own! However, I would still like the own the original released version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, as well.

Sadly, I have no idea when I will, or if I will be able to purchase the last Harry Potter movie.
